Our 3 major focus

1. Remove overwhelming feeling

We share relevant real-life farming experiences in Singapore context and we turn concepts and how-tos into straight-forward steps, so you can easily apply them to your gardening!

2. We are here for you

Growing food is a journey and it doesn’t end after attending workshop. You always have an expert to turn to when you bump into gardening obstacles.

3. Help you become happy gardener

We focus a lot of edibles because the more we know about how food is grown and the effort required to turn seed into food, the deeper we feel connected to what we eat, and the more appreciation and joy we find in our everyday life.

Meet the Instructor

Hello, I am Wan Ying!

The strong desire to eat own produce and stay healthy spurs Wan Ying & her team to start a mini farm in 2010. After closed to 2 years of constant struggle, finally achieving self-sustaining vegetables source for the last 8 years.

For the last 5 years, she & team have help homes to grow their own edibles successfully. Guiding willing learners to learn the art of growing from level zero to full independent.

Continuous learning and adaptation are key for optimal planting in urban settings, how to grow well with limited sun, minimum odour and dirt are crucial for living harmony in urban high-rise settings. Not to mention the fast pace busy life style of urban dwellers.

Wan Ying is Engineer by training and was an IT consultant for 18 years. She has since semi-retired and now pursuing her passion of growing edibles for self and others. She is also one of the Master growers trained under the then AVA Master Growers program.

What our workshop members are saying?

Definitely a workshop for beginners

“Wan Ying brings a know-how that is relevant for us and she has the depth of experience with farming, both in urban and farm settings. She is very patient in sharing her knowledge and always makes an effort to address every question.

It’s definitely a workshop for beginners where she will provide the much needed hand holding to help us work towards the 2030 goal incrementally.”

Gives me confidence and tenacity to face challenges

“Most important thing about Wan Ying is she shares her years of real life experience in the Singapore context. Many a times – google searches show overseas grower experience, whilst FB answers from other home growers can sometimes be confusing and even incorrect.

Having Wan Ying ‘walk alongside’ my farming journey gives me the confidence and tenacity to face the challenges – honestly I would have given up already if not for her mentoring.”

Covers every aspect a person needs to be successful

“I learned a lot from Wan Ying’s workshop. Her workshop is always very detailed and covers every aspect of gardening which a person needs to know to be successful. She’s always very patience and prompt in answering questions.

Previously I didn’t know what’s the requirement of the light to grow veg. I read up and got more confused and overwhelmed until I attended Wan Ying’s workshop. Now I’m growing veg using lights and just harvested my first batch of Naibai.”
